In 2022, I was approached by Alaska Business Magazine to help with their special edition cover for the top 49ers, The top 49 companies ranked by gross revenue in the state of Alaska.

The idea for the cover was to emulate “Choose your own adventure” book covers in the illustration. The October 2022 issue actually has two cover versions, with one featuring a growling monster looming over the scene. I jokingly added the monster as a doodle to a draft cover, which was actually turned into a variant distributed at the Top 49ers luncheon later that year.
